    Departmental Computing Support

    ​The Departmental Computing Support Team delivers comprehensive and dependable IT support services for the university community, encompassing laptops, desktops, printers, monitors, and software across more than 60 campus buildings. The team plays a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for faculty, staff, and students, while also supporting key academic and administrative functions such as events, examinations, and laboratory activities.

    Device Provisioning and Setup
    Distribution, provisioning, and configuration of laptops, desktops, and printers for eligible users, ensuring they are fully operational from day one.
    Hardware Support and Maintenance
    Preventive and corrective hardware maintenance for all university-owned computing devices and lab equipment.
    Non-standard Hardware and Accessories Support
    Consultation, procurement assistance, and integration support for non-standard IT hardware and accessories.
    Software Installation and License Management
    Deployment of university-approved software and management of software licenses for compliance and efficiency.
    Software Support (University and Personal Devices)
    Technical support for software on both university-issued and personally owned devices used for academic or administrative purposes.
    On-site Technical Support
    Prompt, on-location support for resolving hardware and software issues. Includes operation of two walk-in Desktop Support counters.
    Remote Support
    Technical assistance via remote tools including TeamViewer (primary), Microsoft Teams, and WebEx (secondary), minimizing the need for on-site visits.
    IT Support for Exams, Events, and Campus-wide Activities
    Tailored IT support to ensure robust infrastructure and technology availability during critical academic and administrative events.
    Campus Printing Services
    Management of over 240 iMFDs (intelligent multifunctional devices) for reliable printing, scanning, and copying services across campus.
    Fingerprint Authentication System Support
    Technical support for the university's fingerprint-based authentication systems.
    Technical Consultancy for IT Solutions
    Advisory services for selecting and implementing effective hardware and software solutions aligned with departmental and institutional goals.
    RFP/RFQ Preparation and Tender Support
    We assist in preparing technical specifications and supporting documentation for hardware and software procurement, ensuring alignment with institutional requirements throughout the tendering process.
