We aim to minimize disruption, ensure proper planning, testing, and communication for all changes, and proactively manage our IT capacity to maintain stability, performance, and integrity of our services.
Key activities include:
- Receiving, logging, and categorizing change requests for IT systems and services.
- Assessing the risks and impacts of proposed changes.
- Scheduling and coordinating change implementation with relevant teams.
- Ensuring proper testing, documentation, and back-out plans are in place for all changes.
- Communicating upcoming changes and their potential impact to affected users and stakeholders.
- Reviewing implemented changes to confirm successful execution and address any issues.
- Monitoring and analyzing current IT resource utilization (e.g., servers, storage, network bandwidth, applications).
- Forecasting future IT resource requirements based on business growth, new projects, and historical trends.
- Developing and maintaining a Capacity Plan to ensure adequate resources are available when needed.
- Identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or performance issues before they impact services.
- Optimizing existing IT infrastructure to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
