Professor Peter was promoted from Assistant to Associate Professor in 1991 (with tenure) and to a Full Professor in 1996. He was the Chair of the Division of Clinical Pharmacy between 2004-2006. Professor Peter held various posts at the VHHSC and was the Co-Director of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Clinical Service Unit when he departed in 2004. Professor Jewesson left Canada in September 2006 to start the new Pharmacy Program at the Qatar University in Doha, Qatar. | |

Dr. Suzanne served as a research and teaching assistant throughout her graduate career and was a volunteer Lecturer of Refugee Law for the Cairo Community Interpreter’s Program. Dr. Shams served as a senior staff member on the Administrative Law Review, was regularly published in the Human Rights Brief, and was runner-up in the 14th Annual African Human Rights Moot Court competition in Johannesburg, South Africa where she argued the final round before the Chief Justice of the South African Constitutional Court. | |

Mr. Tribuna began his full-time advocating for and educating of faculty about students with Special Needs in Japan in 1996 when he was asked to teach students who ‘hated English’, and since then has worked with a wide range of learning disabilities in the northeastern United States, and now Qatar. | |

Professor Malcolm Potts was awarded his DSc. in Dessication Tolerance (1995), PhD. in Microbiology (1977), and BSc. in Botany (1973) from Durham University (UK). Since 2006 Professor Potts has been serving at Qatar University first, as Lead Scholar, then as Visiting Professor and currently Professor, Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences. Professor Potts has held positions in USA at Florida State University and Virginia Tech, as well as in Antarctica, Germany, and Aldabra Atoll in the Indian Ocean. Professor Malcolm has membership in numerous professional organizations like The World Cultural Council Interdisciplinary Committee for the Albert Einstein World Award in Science (1987-to present) and Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He did Post doctorals at Oldenburg University, Germany; The Royal Society - Israel Academy of Sciences Post Doctoral Fellow, Hadassah Medical School, and Heinz Steinitz Marine Biology Laboratory, Eilat. Professor Malcolm's research is in the area of molecular basis for environmental stress tolerance (bacteria to human) and his research support is more than $23 million since 2008. | |

Professor Ali earned his PhD. in Instructional Technology from Pennsylvania State University (USA) in 1980. Prof. Ali joined Qatar University in Fall 2000. In AY 2003/2004, Dr. Ali was appointed Dean of the College of Education followed by appointment as Director of the Office of Faculty & Instructional Development and Chairman of the Core Curriculum Committee. Earlier, at Al Azhar University (Egypt), Prof. Ali served as Dean of the College of Education and as Head of the Instructional and Information Technology Department. While at Qatar University, Prof. Ali has served as a member of several academic and non-academic committees, like: Institutional Evaluation, IT, Curriculum and Study Plans, Recruitment. Prof. Ali was the previous Managing Editor of the Educational Sciences Journal, issued by QU College of Education and is currently serving on the editorial boards of the Educational Technology Journal (Egyptian Educational Technology Association) and of Tawasol Journal (QU External Relations). Currently, Prof. Ali is the principal investigator of a research project entitled: "The Role of Qatar University Core Curriculum Program in Improving Students’ Academic Performance, Enhancing their Career Development, and Fulfilling Qatari National Needs" being conducted within the framework of QNRF National Priorities Research Program. | |
